Christmas day was perfect. It was just us, for the first time and we had a very relaxing and enjoyable day as a family. Finley woke up at her usual 6:45 and we were able to milk another 30 minutes out of her with cuddling before we reminded her who had come that night. Lee recorded her walking down the stairs and seeing the presents under the tree. She walked to them with a huge smile and immediately started tearing them open :) Like a pro. Santa brought her a new wood dollhouse, felt board sets, puzzles, books, dress up magnetic, wood dolls, a Daniel Tiger doll, paints, a broom & dustpan, a jewelry-making set, a doctor set, bristle blocks... She was a really good girl this past year :) After presents we made chocolate chip pancakes and bacon and watched Polar Express. We saw DeeDee and Bumpa for a taco dinner and skyped with Da and Grandpa and opened more gifts from them. All day was playtime and giggles and at night we took down her crib (tear) and set up her new big girl bed. It was all great and she was excited until... she actually had to go to bed. One and a half hours after "twirling like a ballerina", screaming "MOM", crying, opening door, climbing baby gate... she finally fell asleep. She fell out if bed at about 2am and woke us up. Fun times :)
