Daddy's snowboarding accident...

This is at the Poudre Valley Hospital ER, when we thought we would just be leaving with a handful of muscle relaxers...  Finley was having a blast with the puke bucket! haha

Daddy crushed his C7 vertebrae while riding a rail in Breckenridge!  Just 1 mm away from paralyzation!  He was transferred by ambulance to MCR in Loveland to the trauma unit, where we made the toughest decision ever... to go through with surgery.  It also had risks of paralyzation, but the controlled risks seemed like a better choice than leaving the fracture to "chance".  It was a scary decision, but the Neurosurgeons were top notch and we knew Lee would be in the best hands possible!  His C7 vertebrae and discs above and below were removed and titanium was put in place of.  The surgery was a success but he was left with a vocal chord not working, which we are hoping will heal itself (may take months) or he will undergo another surgery!  Lee can not work, drive, lift anything (including his baby girl), bend, twist or lift.  It will be a very exhausting and trying 3 months but we will get through it!  We are so lucky to have daddy alive and moving!!!!  Someone was definitely watching over us!

In the waiting room at MCR while daddy has his surgery...

                                                                    Daddy is fixed!!!

                                                                 I love my daddy!!!
